My club played the first game in our new campaign, set in a fictional European setting…

Was great fun, and I got to use my SAS figures at last!

Terrain was all by the guy running the campaign, as was a load of the kit, but everyone contributed some bits and pieces. Nice that everyone got to use some of their toys!

fantastic looking terrain and minis – wish i had the same set up to play on.

Couldnt see any of the SAS figures you got to use though, or are they hidden in the midst of other figures?

That looks a pretty fun game. Some nice models and terrain too. What scale is it in?

They are there somewhere! They didnt arrive till near the end of the game and I think the umpire was bored of taking pics by then! :)

Its all 20mm.

Most of the figures are Liberation… I couldnt tell you what make the vehicles are Im afraid.

Wonderful…

I think that osme of the US vehicles come from Dragon armor, the ruskies tanks are from Revell and I think the BMP from a resin ma nufacturers that I forgot… and the SNA Patton is from ESCI (now Italeri). Ok these are ocnclusion coming from photo interpetation.

What rules have you used?

Rules… Not sure… I think they were a Rapid Fire variant.

Good though… Gave a nice fast paced game for the evening.

Interesting, I just bought Rapid Fire for WW2 gaming this weekend*, would be very interested in a modern version. Nice looking game.

*and a drink leaked over the book on the way home possibly ruining it :-(

Nice, very inspirational. Let me recomend the book "God's Children" by Coyle if you want some fictional what if along these lines. It doesn't involve Russians, but it is a "what if?" for the Balkans.

BTW, as an interesting aside fact, the M1A1 Abrams model you are using is a model of the 1-1 CAV A-Troop (Apache) 2nd platoon tank (Tank A21 – the platoon leader's tank and the name on the barrel is Abbaddon) that was used as part of IFOR (Implementation Force) from Dec '95 – Nov '96 in the real Bosnia for peacekeeping. Just thought it was a fun fact.
