There is a whole rash of them of course, but I would suggest that manufacturing methods, particularly of plastics, ranks pretty high. Most topics on manufacturing plastics contain a dangerously high BS level. Having been involved in manufacturing (automotive, fences and gates) for most of my productive adult life, the ignorance of many hobbyists about how their toys are made, how much they "should" cost, and what "should make a lot of money" is almost laughable. |

When I started this topic, what I really meant was "topics that TMP regulars regularly opine about, but about which they know nothing." But, that's OK. I should be the last to complain about deviation from what the Master intneded. So, with that in mind, let me add "customer relations" to the list. Within the last 20 minutes, I have read "Deal with it!" and "If you are not their core customer base, why should they cater to you?" That seems to be the attitude of too many "companies" that advertise or are promoted on TMP. Naming no names
Oh, yes. "There" versus "their". That whole Grammer and Speling thing, like Allen so kindly mentioned earlier. |

How about a PhD disseration on why ruleset X is "unrealistic" versus ruleset Y and why are there arguments that get way too intense over something that in ten years will not make a difference. Another topic: Are miniature gamers really little boys who have not stopped playing with toy soldiers? ooo, here's one: Personal hygiene and the X gamer where X is any type of game you want it to be. Yet another one: Explain why have rulesets that have been hailed as "unrealistic", badly written / edited by a number of folk have actually gained in popularity. The Holy Grail of rulesets: the one to unite all minigamers that they can coexist in peace and harmony (except on the table that is). Yes, I did not mention names because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. |

Luckily, I am a certified TMP "expert", so let me set the record strait. I know everything, even when I have to guess or make it up. This means there is nothing I do not know. The correct answer to this question is there is nothing I do not know. A certified TMP "expert" knows everything, and for a small fee I can train you to be a certified TMP "expert as well. At the ridiculous low cost of three payments of $19.99 USD you to can know everything or learn to deny the fact that you don't know something.
