need your help folks, I am putting together a British Desert Airforce in 1/300 scale for my games and have read in some LRDG books of Blenheim crash sites they ran across in patrols, so I know the Blenheim was used by the DAF, but not if it was the short nose or long nose version? also, if you would know of a list of other aircraft in the DAF I would be greatful. here is what I have found:
Hurrican- Mk I, Mk II hurribomber, Mk II D tank buster
Gladiator
Spitfire-Mk V
P-40 Tomahawk
Buefighter
Blenheim- Mk ?
Lysander
Hudson
Boston
Baltimore
Maryland
Wellington
RN Albacore ( to drop flares or bombs)
also some older bombers for transports, so I will not list them, but if you could add to list for me I would be greatful.
also if you know of the German planes used in the desert, I know of,
ME-109
FW-190
HE-111
JU-87
JU-88
HS-129
Storch reccon
JU-86 high altitude reccon

Osprey Combat Aircraft 5, Blenheim Squadrons of World War 2 shows Blenheim I (short nose), IVs (long nose), and Vs (long nose) operating in the Med and North Africa.

Don't forget the Mitchells and Havocs…and there were Beauforts as well.

I have a recollection that the Hs129 was only in use in the Tunisian campaign.

However, you could also add the Bf110 to your list

KPinder, that helped alot, thank you, hope you can do 42' search you did not get around to. I noticed the Spitfires were only recce versions and no fighters in the DAF? unless they turn up in your 42' search. The Fulmar I read somewhere that the RAF flew afew, besides the Fleet Air Arm. the Fulmars you mentioned, were they RAF?
