Any suggestions what 28mm figures to use for Tartars at the Battle of Tannenberg/Grunewald 1410? Could Huns or Mongols be used as a substitute? All help much appreciated! |

Don't use Huns. Totally different age. Mongols could work in a pinch. |

Assault Group make Tartars – they're for a couple hundred years later but might work. link |

I think you could use the Old Glory Tartar's from the Liegnitz range and be very safe in assuming that their appearance hadn't changed much between 1241 and 1410. That's what I did. db |

I would second the Old Glory rec, and also throw out Essex, from their Polish Wars range: link |
