They seem very responsive and everything I pull up on TMP seems positive. Is there anything I should make a point of or look out for when dealing with Sri Lanka such as Customs issues or delivery hassles?

You're in the U.S.? I've never had any custom issues with them.

I send my figures using USPS, and they haven't gone missing yet (though it does take a few weeks to get there).

The return trip is much faster, as PhilGreg I believe uses a courier service, and they package things up very nicely.

It takes less than a week to get to Sri Lanka/Bangladesh. The extra time is taken up by third world customs sitting on packages.

Regular mail or courier service are faster on the return as US customs are more efficient.

Oddly enough I contacted them for the first time earlier today. I was planning on sending them figures using the USPS flat rate box- is there anything I need to know when filling out the customs form?

Ask them how to fill to fill out the customs form. You need to know how they want the goods described as this can have an impact on the duty rate (e.g. calling them 'toys' might be better or worse than calling them 'metal figures'). You also want to ask what to do about the value. I assume that they have to pay import duty on the value (as they aren't in a special economic zone).

I believe it. The USPS said it would be there in 3-5 days…

The last package I sent to Sri Lanka took a month before I finally recieved an email stating they got it.

Not a customs etc issue, but when you send your figures, include as detailed an explanation of exactly what you want as you can. Colour copies, written explanations etc. The quality you get back (as far as what you really want) is diectly related to the info and requirements detail you provide.
