Hi Guys Can anyone tell me what these figs are like in scale and quality ? Are they clean casts and are they true 15mm or bigger ? The only pictures I could find on their webpage were fairly basic, and looked a bit cartooney Thanks Phil |

They are more cubist than cartooney, but I know what you mean! Size-wise, they are more 20mm than 15mm, and very chunky, but I use them with 15's without a problem. They paint up very nicely, and their chunkiness actually gives their phanlanx a suitable weightiness. If you'd like to see examples, most of my Hoplite Greek army is Tin Soldier. See the Vis Bellica website at visbellica.com or, for the gallery: link Cheers VB |

Thanks Rob, I will chance a small order, and see how they match up to my gladiator persians Phil |

Hi Phil My very first 15mm ancients army was a Tin Soldier Seleucid army and notwithstanding the passage of time it remains one of my favourite armies. Tin Soldier are certainly chunkier than any other range on the market. However, they are very easy to paint with well defined detail. They have a certain charm about them that many of the newer ranges lack. While I keep my Tin Soldier figures to the same army I have no difficulty with them taking on my Essex/Xyston Macedonians and Persians. I think, as always it is a matter of taste. Either you will really like these figures or you'll hate them. Not much room in the middle. I really like them. Hope that helps a bit. Kent |

Wonderful pictures of your Greeks and Macedonians. I am about to start rebasing my own Tin Soldier Greeks as well as paint up some additions to fill gaps. Your Macedonians almost inspire me to extend the range to these figures as well. |

Thanks Guys, I have a smallish early achemenid persian army ( originally for DBM) which is now being dusted off and added to for FOG. I am not to worried if they dont match exactly to my Gladiator Persians, I just wanted an idea for comparison. At least the greeks wont be on the same base as the persians. Thanks for the input Phil |
