Original text from War and Peace(?) Literary Viagra spammers – whatever next! |

I believe this sort of text is added to spam messages to try to fool Bayesian filtering, which assigns a spam probability to messages based on the incidence of certain words. The aim is to make it look like a legitimate message. Of course, ultimately spammers have to deliver their message, so they can't avoid mentioning Viagra or penis enlargement or whatever. |

I wonder who actually buys Viagra on the Internet? Or, if thy even get it when they pay for it. It'a no doubt an effective placebo. Anyway, about one email a day slips through selling Viagara. It never ways so in the heading. Obviously. I always know what it is because the sender is never familiar, and the heading is always ambiguous. Pursuing a lost cause, I open it to report it as junk, fully knowing that I will never get any more email from that address, but it's the principle of the thing. The body of the message made me laugh. I would like to thank the stalkers who think I have nothing better to do than to inflate my post count. You accusing me of it continually is as lame or lamer than what I am accused of doing. |
