It is definitely air show season here. March Air Reserve Base just had their show last week while the Planes of Fame museum will have theirs next weekend. So naturally, there has been a lot of air activity in the area as I'm located on a small lake that is a navigational landmark.
A flock of PT-17 biplane trainers overflew the house on their way to lunch at the local airport's cafe. They were a mix of bright blue and yellow in various color schemes.
For the past two weeks, there have been numerous overflights by a B-17 and a B-25. Both have been operating at below 1,000 feet and the Mitchell has been doing a fair amount of maneuvering rather than flying in a straight line. Today, both the B-17 and a B-24 came over the house at about 500 feet on their way to the next airport. They, and the B-25 belong to the Collings Foundation.

The Flying Fortress (a G model) is the "Nine Oh Nine" (ironically, our old area code) link
and the Mitchell is the "Tondelayo" and it appears that they've added the upper turret since this photo was taken. link
