I've been toying with the conversion of Panzergrenadier tabletop game into tabletop microarmour game and I've re-read the rules yesterday. I don't know why, but I just don't understand the LOS rules from different height levels.

Let's say for example that a unit is on level 1 height and couple of hexes away there is a multi-hex town. How far into the town can that unit see? And what with the open terrain behind the town? Is there a blind spot area or are all hexes blocked?

Hi Minondas,

Have you tried asking this question at AvalanchePress.com they'd be best qualified to answer this, or even consimworld?

In the example you give above Level 1 is 20 m high and towns are classed as 20 m high so all hexes behind the first town hex would be blocked (Series Rules 8.3, 8.4 and 8.42)

Hope this helps, Dave

Yes, I agree with Ross.

I suspected that the rule would be that simple (after all, it is a simple rules set) and in fact that's how I've been playing it. I just found the second sentence in 8.4 so convoluted, that I became a little unsure.

I wasn't aware of the fact that Avalanche Press has its own forums, guess I will have to look into it. As for Consimworld, structure of their forums is so bad, that I get anxiety attacks as soon as I think of searching for information on that site.

Thanks for your assistance, guys. :)

Have a look at my PzG pages, I have done some work on the terrain rules that came with the Normandy module.
