That's because you are looking at it in isolation. The last picture on that page shows it in context, and looks a lot more like visibly flowing water than most game rivers I've seen. |

How do their canals compare with their rivers? I've been fairly intrigued by their industrial canal set which should be quite similar to the river. |

It's a "tech river" sculpted to the same standards, but with more "things" floating in the water. Roughly the same width, too. |

Wow, thanks for posting that. I've had the same set laid out waiting for paint for over a year, could never decide on a color scheme. I may imitate yours! Pyruse, I think Farstar is right, look at the last 5 pictures in the link of it on a gaming table. It looks great IMO. I know what you mean about too much texture (I've been wrestling with how to paint the same set and wishing I could just do one color and varnish it); but clearly it's meant to be a swift-moving river, not a still one. |
