Somebody makes (or used to make) a 1/144 scale model of a Soviet BK-1125 river gunboat. The appeared occasionally on Ebay. Does anyone know who the manufacturer was, and if they are still being made? I have AIM's 1/100 model, which is gorgeous but looks really, really big compared to my rivers (and 1/100 tanks – one forgets how big ships are comparatively). |

AER SRL MOLDOVA, they have an e-mail address on the box: aer@mdl.net I got mine from a compay in Montreal who's name escapes me. Lovely little thing, just need some time to get it together. |

A bit, blood sugar is still not where it needs to be, and work is sucking me dry right at the mo -- it's 6:40 pm where I am and I am still at it. |

These links may be of some help: link link I didn't see a BK-1125 though. |

Thanks, Schlesian. The second link has is, listed as a Russian armored gun boat. It also looks to be where Lentalus got his. Oh, joy! |

""The second link has is, listed as a Russian armored gun boat. It also looks to be where Lentalus got his."" But that one is a 1/72 version (item # 7234). picture I think he was originally looking for a 1/144 one. Like Item #144003 (ARMOURED RIVER BOAT BKA WW11). picture Looks speedy
and fairly lethal, with the Katyuska rack in the back, and the T-34/76 turret Plus the small MG turrett in the front & the small MG turret over the wheel house. Only $33.28 USD US, plus shipping! Doesn't seem to be a waterline version though.

The hull is two parts, so the "below the waterline" part can be omitted. Good design on their part. |

"The hull is two parts, so the "below the waterline" part can be omitted. Good design on their part.' An excellent piece of information there, ensuring that I will soon be sending my hard-earnedd dollars to Canada. Thanks again, Les. Hope you made it home last night! |

Oh, and you have a choice between building it with Katyusha or a rear-deck MG turret. I expect I will go with the MG turret as the version more appropriate actually on the table with the Naval Infantry Brigade. Which saw their first action Monday night, BTW. |

Two other points, from the same source – the brittleness of resin: * The MG barrels are supplied in the form of piano wire * The T-34 barrel arrive broken off -- not a big surprise, I plan to drill and replace with brass. No damage to the big, solid chunks. |

I originally wanted one, now two seems the minimum. Keep going, Les, you're they're best salesman! |

Just remember that you have to have some soviet naval infantry to go with it: picture Excuse my poor photography, it's just neat to see Soviets on the table that are not a shade of brown. |

Oh, don't worry, my Peter Pig Russian sailors are coming along nicely, thank you! |
