I recently picked up a coupleof starter decks for battlegrouns the fantasy miniature game played with cards, where the cards represent the miniatures. For all of those who have heard of the game has anyone tried to play it with miniatures as I was thinking of tryingand basing them on to the appropiate sized bases. wasnt to sure if to d this with 10mm or 15mm miniatures. anyone got any thoughts on this or playing this game with minisoverall or maybe how to do it without losing the feel of the game.

I know some folks have reinforced the cards and mounted figures right on top. You could cut the back edge off (the unit data) and past them to appropriate sized bases of figures as well.

No, playing it with miniatures seems not uncommon for this, and it is an element based miniatures game in reality

Well yes, but it does pretty much say that in its own description.

From the Home page of Your Move games – this is the first sentence of text copy/pasted
'Battleground: Fantasy Warfare is a point-based miniatures game – but without the miniatures'

Further down they get even more explicit
'Battlegound is, in essence, a great miniature wargame without the miniatures – or, rather, with the miniatures represented in two dimensions rather than three.'

Its designed to attract those to whom painting minis is either not desirable or not practical for some reason.

Given that origin, one would assume that a port to use miniatures would be fairly trivial.
