Gang, With the new movies coming out, I figured by now someone would have got the rights to the miniatures game and the figures, or at least the figs. Anyone have any information on this? I know over the years many gamers have posted in various places about assmebling figures from various collections to game narnia, but it seems like it's time for a full-fledged professional effort. Disney is involved, so it either can't happen, or it would be so expensive that only a powerhouse could afford it. Since both industry powerhouses are having issues at the moment and the bloom will be off by the time they could afford to, it won't happen. |

who do you think is the other industry powerhouse? |

Wizards of the Coast and games Workshop are the powerhouses of our industry in terms of turnover. |

Really except for the main characters everything is already out there. |

Yes i must admit ,since i saw the first film , the battle scene at the end has inspired me . I have seen pictures of a Narnia inspired WHFB army and the creator put allot of effort into it , it looked great as a result . I have been slowly collecting as many nasties in 28mm as i can , mostly an odd assortment of GW fantasy stuff but allot of others thrown into the mix to get the right feel . One day soon i hope to start painting them and forming a feasible WHFB list . The more i watch the battle scene the more the project looks feasible . chees tom |

Mine are 15/18mm but I have fauns, satyrs, minotaurs, various animals, and even a talking badger (coming soon). Eureka has some very nice centaurs. It would not be too much of a challenge to cobble armies together. David splinteredlightminis.com |

Heroes of Might and Magic 3 comes close to Narnia as far as troop types. True its not a miniatures game but as computer games go, its not too bad. ymmv, R. |

A shameless plug for the Age of Might and Steel. Battles like that in the movie are easily represented in my game. agemightsteel.com |

well, I guess the investment depends on the potential return. Since GW made a killing on LOTR and it was their chief earning vehicle for years, I'm uncertain that it is an impossible project. That being said, they no doubt have thought of it, but it'd be interesting to hear them say why they haven't done it. I thought the LOTR work was excellent – a nice game and lovely figs. No reason they couldn't adapt the system to Narnia. Heck, the authors were pals so the themes are quite similar. btw, would love to see any pics of a converted narnia army done for WFB. Sounds fabulous! |
