I really like the models everyone is making! Maybe I should add a spot for them on the oldwestraveler.com site.

Rusty-
I can't believe that Arkansas is not one of your old west states. Fort Smith and Judge Parker should be enough to qualify the state. The Arkansas-Oklahoma border was one of the last wild and woolly frontiers in America continuing through the gansterism of prohibition.

Very good catch, judge! You definitely need Arkansas on there. I can see why you might leavout ot Louisiana. So I'm guessing the Mississippi is where you draw the line?

The site looks interesting, but I wonder if adding a forum ABOUT the Old West (movies, games, etc.) might not generate some chatter and increase traffic.

You definitely need Arkansas on there.

And Iowa and Minnesota, too. For that matter, the James and Younger gangs operated on both sides of the Mississippi. And wasn't the first "Western-style" train robbery in Indiana?

Smokey Roan07 May 2008 6:47 p.m. PST

Yep! And Indiana (my birthplace)had some of the baddest indian fights ever!

Well, granted they were 17 and early 1800's, but it was the "West" for some time.
