"Need a Fake-istan country name" Topic

I'm putting together a series of scenarios for a game that take place in a fake ex-Soviet state and would like a good fake-istan style name. Any suggestions?

Man its easy. Just use your imagination. Put together people's names. My Mideast/African country is Naskinzania, My first name, Nick, and my opponent's last name, Skinner. Put a cople words together, add "zania" or "istan" to the end, and there you go.

I always kinda liked "Karbommistan," myself. Or perhaps the one being used in the recent Doonesbury cartoons, "Berserkistan."

I use Badistan. My buddy uses Arghistan in a lot of our lighthearted airsoft scenarios. They are stereotypical badguys and have been guilty of shooting down Santa Claus and his sleigh for the last two holiday games.

…but Santa has spec force elves…

Think of a Central Asan back of beyond horse tribe which does not have a "-stan" named after it.

How about Tartaristan?

You can also get away from the "stan" names…and use titles like "The Peoples Republic of Absurdia", or as in the case of Bongolesias menacing Western backed neighbor to the South, "The Fandango Republic"…

I've used Cheddaristan. I realize that's kind of cheesy, though.

I always send my players on adventures in Absurdistan.

I've always liked Absurdistan,and Turdistan. How about Tyranistan, or Burpistan.Then the People's Republic of Slobania is always at war with the Democratic Republic of Bobosheniyum, in the Balkans.

No, no. Kerboomistan was once PART of Karbommistan, but broke away during the Anthill Wars of the late fourteenth century. They still have border skirmishes from time to time, and maintain separate Popes, despite the fact that neither country has any Catholic citizens.

Both countries can be found near Bumf(bleep)istan, east of Egypt.

How about Phaiqistan?
The Onion once did an article about the ex-soviet country of Nukehavistan, which was suspected of having nuclear weapons.

The current one we're using is Asscrackistan.

Laurellstan and its ally Hardistan.

Buttfargostan is what we use for a far away place. (Or something more crude.)

I'll second "Tim in Saskatoon"'s Derkaderkastan. You can get the DVD and get terrain ideas!!!

I've used Dakkadakkastan for the Back of Beyond.

Also, Palookastan, but that's been done already. Home of the friendly Palookis and their lager mining industry, just crying out for a colonial power to protect them from their enemies the Dakkadakkas.

I need to get out more.

Suristan(from the Errol Flynn v. of "Charge Of The Light Brigade")might be a good one. I've been working on a scenario taking place in "Haqar". Or "Kafiristan" from "The Man Who Would Be King".

The West Wing use Qumar and Yes, Minister used Qumran. I like Kerplunkistan, myself (but that might just be one for us Brits)

It's a small country but I have always been fond of visiting Toemerica when I have business in the area.
