I think 'rather nice' is an understatement. These are beautiful! |

Rather Nice is simple a wrong term
they are awesome. Based for Grand Armée? |

Yup gorgeous – even with the curly bayonets! These are based for? what rules? Mustaphas? |

Thank you all for your compliments. I honestly don't know which rules they are based for. I followed the customer's wishes. I think it was 6cm squares that they are on. Fair comment about the bayonets Flashman. Bayonets are the part I'm not truly 100% happy myself either. After the previous lot of Eurekas I simply didn't have the nerve to manipulate bayonets too much. That time I lost more than one figure due to breakage. Yes, care was taken, hot water used etc :-> So even when this set of figures didn't feel as fragile I was rather hesitant. Who knows maybe the first lot was just a bad production run. But still I'm curious what's other people's experience with bayonets of Eurekas. Or the tip of the barrel to be more precise. Prone for breakage? iAugustus //the fragile lot was advancing poses directly from Eureka and these more robust ones were marching from F15s in UK. |

Beautiful. This might be one of those things a gentleman doesn't discuss, but what did you charge for those? |

Brilliant. Love your WWII stuff, but its great to see you turn your talents to Napoleonics. |

Breathtaking! Where are you situated, what do you charge, do you have a website? Nick (wiping the dribble off the keyboard) |

>But still I'm curious what's other people's experience with bayonets of Eurekas. This varies from batch to batch. I had a bad experience with my first batch from Eureka and haven't had the nerve to bend them since. I don't mean any offence but some people who view photographs can never accept a bendy bayonet. Those people are not running painting services! Yes, please let us know how much you charge. |

The overly thin bayonets are also present on the Eureka 1815 French as well, nice figures that are somewhat spoilt by bayonets that fall off after a couple of games – no matter how careful you are. I would much prefer thicker & more robust bayonets along the lines of the AB range also sold by Eureka (great bunch to buy from BTW) |

Hmmm ya that's a serious problem then if the musket tips are breaking off. Good to know. I only straighten bayonets/swords once – right before they get the pre-primer bath. So the primer, paint and seal coats don't help then eh? |

The Bayonets are a big problem in Both AB & Eureka's Nap lines
. the Saxons are the really easy to break. With that said
.. for what a person pays for AB you should not have to worry about that. Sometimes I must order a extra 5 – 8% just to make sure I do not have delays. |

Some AB figures have stronger bayonets then other, like the 1805/1807 Russians, but to many suffer from the broken and bent bayonet syndrom. That is why I now prefer sturdier makes like the new CGM range of 1815 figures. Well, the British are not finished yet but by the look of the new French cavalry just out, the wait will be worth it. And iAugustus, bent bayonets or not, outstanding job on those British! |

I've used all sorts of the Ab & Eureka ranges, bent & re-bent bayonets all over the place and can honestly say have never had or seen a problem. |
