Is there a write up for them as a posse in one of the books, or would they just be lawmen? Thanks.

There is no specific Pinkerton list but you could use either the Lawman or Texas Ranger list although the Lawman list probably has the right flavor.

There is a Pinkerton Special Character that you can recruit as well.
