Howdy Gents,

Anyone have a copy of Kolin by Clash of Arms that they'd be willing to part with for a reasonable price? Punched is ok, beat up isn't.

By the way, just received the latest entry into the BAR series, Monmouth … beautiful game, just beautiful.

Thanks Much,
Tom Cundiff

Clash of Arms is set to reprint this game in the near future, I believe. So, you might want to wait abit.

Also, you might try asking, if you have not already, on consimworld.com

Hope this helps.

Robert

Thanks much, they had every one of the series … But Kolin.

Yea, I keep an eye out at CSW, but the last one for sale there was part of an entire collection. Besides, there was a book out that gave wargamers an inflated sense of what games are worth and instantly used games went from $5-$10 a game to $75-$100 only because some knumbskull wrote a book telling everyone that their games were worth more. There was no basis for the evaluations, just that everyone saw his book and said to themselves "I'm selling my games for too little" and overnight the price of games listed at CSW increased by 10 fold.

I'd heard that COA was "thinking about" reprinting Kolin, but you know how that is. MMP said they were going to reprint Up Front back in 2000. Hasn't happened yet.

Thanks Much,
Tom

With COA only producing about 2-3 games a year now, it would have to have a ton of preorders to get it produced again. I have the Zorndorf game and I would like to see some more European battles, especially some of the smaller ones which would be a good way to introduce others to the system.

Well, as it happens, there is a new BAR game being produced, but not by COA. Hochkirch is a game being developed by Khyber Pass Games and being designed by Robert Fulton. Bob is developing his game with two goals. His second goal is for players to be able to use the maps and counters for Hochkirch so that they can be used by players to play Hochkirch using the BAR rules. He is also developing his own rules for the game – and era – to hopefully begin his own wargame/miniatures inspired rules set for Khyber Pass. The reason I know all of this is because I just completed the design of the counters and submitted them to Khyber Pass and to Bob for acceptance and/or review.

If you go to the Khyber Pass site, you can actually pre-pledge for Hochkirch via these addresses:

Personally I'm hoping Bob's game system becomes popular so that we get two games for the price of one, in effect, when his games begin to be published.

Oh, and I did just receive Monmouth by COA (their recent release for the BAR system) beautiful just beautiful game.
