Back in the day, when Citadel produced some Ral Partha figures, I got some goblins (I think they were). They are definitely not Tom Meier sculpts, but being amonst the first figures I bought I have developed a soft spot for them. I have no idea what they are really called though (they are not illustrated on Stuff of Legends as far as I can tell). First thing to note is, they are uglllly, very 2 dimentional (and chunky, unlike most slender Ral Partha stuff) – certainly not up to todays standards. One is kind of squating, with a curvy sword, and a Tolkeinesque hand on his shield. Another group of 3 have spiked clubs and little wisps of hair on the back of their heads, others are just standing with scimitars or spears. If any one could tell me what they are actually called and if there are others in the same range I would be grateful. And even who sculpted them. (Oh, and if anyone has any they are willing to sell please PM me – the idea of building up a whole butt-ugly unit of them appeals!) Thanks. |

Thanks Gorb, I love those old Citadel goblins. However the ones I'm interested in are definitely Ral Partha. I got them when they were produced by Citadel under license back in the early 80's. |

I have some wolf riders of the type I think you are after. I am in Australia though and postage would not be cheap. |

Is it the far right-hand one in the second picture? If so, I believe these are the Meier goblins from about 78-79. Every gamer from that era I knew had several of these. |

Thanks for the link, nycjadie, but those are not the ones. I have a bunch of them though, nice figures. Dave (Dozing Dragon). Yes! Those are the ones. I recognise the names now that you list them. Thank you. I had forgotten there were so many – I've got some collecting to do! Thanks! |

I, too, have an interest in identifying and collecting the old Partha orcs & goblins, but I prefer the Meier sculpts. I also have a soft spot for the goofy old Citadel goblins & FTG gnolls. I've built a page here: link I'm listing it in case anyone else finds this thread as I did. At the moment, it lacks a couple of thumbnails, so excuse the formatting, but that should be fixed this week. Dave, I Googled the E goblins you mentioned, but could find no pictures. I'd like to see just what the heck those are. Gavanadjosh02, if you have the Meier wolfriders, I would be interested in them. My Yahoo account is madog_barfog. Good hunting, everybody! |

Nautiloid, I'm not a supporting member so, I can't PM you. If the figures you're looking for are like the ones in the photo from coryfromMissoula, then I have a bunch of them. If you're interested, PM me with your email addy and I can send you pic's of the figures I have. |
