I am painting some 28mm post war British BAOR troops and was wondering what colour the IAT weapons should be. One of them is a Karl Gustov the other looks like a bazooka. I assume it would be some sort of greyish-green or khaki green or dark olive drab? |

If I remember my days in the Canadian reserves properly our Karl G. was a flat black colour. Of course that was a long time ago! |

Thanks, I have also just found some pictures of the Karl Gustov in black and green. I would also be interested in knowing what the colour of the British L16 81mm mortar is. I have seen a model kit of it in a dark olive drab (Humbrol 66, U.S. Olive Drab)but also pictures of it in a lighter olive green colour (Links below) link link Thanks |

The tube and bipod of the British L16 81mm mortar would be black, the baseplate green ( the lighter olive green colour as opposed to the darker colour). |

Whoops missed one, the Charlie G would have been the lighter olive green colour too. |

Thanks Sterling, Do you have any pictures or links so I can get a better idea of that olive green for the baseplate? Were there perhaps different colours used as the link I listed showed the mortar in what I would call a greyish dark olive drab (Humbrol 66). See: link Thanks, Brian |
