Valiant Miniatures 1/72 are the largest WWII figures on the market in 1/72, so the question is would they be out of place next to those wonderfully inexpensive Hat vehicles? Does anyone know the score on these two products?

I have just returned from the WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? history show at Olympia, London, where I bought a boz of each of the Valiant Miniatures range (including the new GIs in Normandy box).

I have compared them with the HaT vehicles and them seem to be just right alongside them.

A boz? … I mean a BOX!!!

Thanks Bob, I appreciate your input.

They work well, and with most Raventhorpe stuff, which , if you live in the UK, seems relatively inexpensive

I thought that might be a new slang that the kids are using.

This has come up on TMP many times. Many people argue that these figures are not 1/72. Don't expect them to fit with anything else in the scale. Absolutely no problem if you just by from the Valiant range (which is presumably what they want).

I wouldn't expect any problem if you pick one size of vehicle to go with one size of figure. Look at Warhammer 40K – the vehicles are way out of scale with the infantry but this doesn't look amiss.

The VM figures are a good fit with the HaT armour. I am looking forward to the SdKfz 251 coming into production, hopefully prior to the fall of 2008.

I have just purchased the Italeri (fast assembly model kits) Pz V Panther (Ausf G) and Pz VI Tiger (Ausf E). Although I have not had a chance to build them they appear to be also a good fit with the VM figures.

they work fine….most 20mm infantry which people say "mix" with with 1/72nd vehicles are actually way too small scalewise- if anything valiant are closer to scale than the majority of smaller metal figs

Actually, I have a lot of Forces of Valor 1/72 and Dragon Armor. Both look great with the Valiant scale minis. Cheers.

I have a few of the HaT Sherman's and StuG's and VM do seem to look ok up along side. VM are (to me) very beefy and have large heads, but they look very good painted alongside the HaT Stuff.

I would say that they are no more out of scale with each other than other infantry/vehicle mixes in other scales (10mm Infantry compared to Tanks, etc).
