LoneStar made a whole series of western characters, famous chief types, and Kitt Carson, etc. They also made knights. I had many of these myself, and I see them at the toy soldier shows on occasion here in the midwest. I recall that they came on a single blister card for around $.50 USD in the early 70's. Some are marked as made in England, others made in China. The ones I have are unpainted, pot metal, with a kind of black, glossy varnish. Sadly, I can't find my o'Brien Foreign made toy Soldiers book, or I could tell you more. |
