Dear All,

Since Friday last when the first boxes arrived, I have been madly stuffing Priority Mailers with Subscriber copies of the TMS.

As of today, all Domestic and Foreign copies, with a few exceptions, have gone out in the mails. The former Subscribers should see their copies starting on Wednesday, and our friend Overseas or in Canada should begin seeing theirs by the end of next week.

If two weeks or more pass and you've not gotten your pre-paid copy, please contact me as their may be a problem courtesy of the USPS--or your own Post Awful if Overseas.

I wish to thank all those who supported this effort to return one of the great sources for the military history of Mexico in the era of the Texas Revolution and the Mexican-American War.

I hope to bring back other titles similarly "lost" as The (Virtual) Armchair General's Publishing ventures continue to grow.

Retail sales will for "The Mexican Soldier" will be accepted in the next few days as the final shipment of books arrive, and I can update the relevant pages at the Website.

Gratefully,
Patrick Wilson

In Fact!

It has already started to arrive.
I got my copy Monday. It is a very impressive work.
For anyone interested in this period it is a "must have".

Thank you TVAG.

P.S. Let me know when you have your next title lined up, I am sure I would like to support your future efforts.

I am excitedly awaiting the arrival.

Patrick, I would like to thank you again. It is a wonderful service you have provided here. Your updates and correspondence as to the stages of production was fantastic. I wholeheartedly look forward to your next venture.

I cant wait…. I feel like its Christmas….

Is there a supporting title for the Mexican Soldier in the 1860s and 1870s?

malamute30 Apr 2008 1:12 a.m. PST

Patrick, very much looking forward to receiving it…..:)

I've been so busy I forgot all about it!

Dear Mark,

Yes! There was a Spanish-language-only volume by Hefter, "
The Armies of Juarez and Maximilian." It, too, was printed but once and is harder to find, evidently, than even "The Mexican Soldier."

However, I have a lead on a copy and hope to translate and release it in much the same format as TMS.

I still have to do some more research on copyright issues that may apply to this title, but evidently it shares the same circumstances as TMS.

With a little luck, TVAG will be able to bring this book back to stand proudly alongside "The Mexican Soldier" later this year.

My copy was waiting for me when I went home for lunch. Yippee!

Put me down for a copy of that Maximilian book if you get a chance to print it!

radmonkey6630 Apr 2008 1:17 p.m. PST

Patrick, Can't wait to get it! Also put me down for a copy of the Maximilian book as well.
