Hello all,

I already asked this on the TSATF Yahoo group, but it's been a few days with no answer yet, so I thought I'd ask again here:

I have a couple of TSATF 20th rules questions regarding close combat modifiers and walls.

-----

First off, does fighting from the top of a wall count as being higher than the opponent? (That is, would the +1 from being higher negate the -1 from being on the wall? Or in other words, the -1 for being on top of a wall means that that sort of unit doesn't really benefit from being uphill when they are on a wall.)

Also, when on top of a wall, are you considered to be in any
formation for either defense or attack purposes?

Who is defending the wall, the guys on top of it, or the ones at the base of it? Or is that modifiery more of a scenario thing, where the force who "owns" the structure gets the bonus in all cases?

And finally, let me see if I have the sequence right, along with a smattering of other questions:

Let's say I have two forces, both on either side of a wall.

Force A moves to the top of the wall, but can't charge force B on the same turn.

Now if B hadn't moved yet, it could charge A, occupying the wall if it wins. (If A wins, can A move down?)

If B doesn't charge A, then next turn A could charge B. (This is pretty clear, though see my confusion above about who counts as defending/uphill, etc.)

-------

Thanks in advance for your guidance and patience. :-)

Force A moves to the base of the wall on the first turn. It can fire at any defenders. The next turn they attempt to climb over the wall and fight any defenders at minus one because they are trying to climb and fight at the same time. The defenders of the wall get a plus one. The height bonus is only for hills. If the wall is undefended then force A simply moves over the wall when they get a move card. If force B is not at the wall defending it & they get a move card before A then I guess they could charge up to the wall to defend it but would leave behind stragglers.
