One more step on the path to Rocket Men! |

Yo, Joe!!! Everything foreseen by my G.I. Joe comics in the 80s is now coming true. Lessee, where's that A-10 with the turret

That thing's actually been around for a while. I saw a video of one being flown (presumably by the designers) a couple of years ago. VERY cool! I'd love to see "jump infantry" with those! |

A-10 with a turret, what about Military Windsurfer Boards with LMGs attached. I think my brother had one of those in his collection. |

Why do I see a new Extreme Sport coming up
. |

Go0gle, I suspect that the Extreme Sport people are where it came from – Have seen similar items around here, the country which has more exciting ways to kill onesefl in peacetime than anywhere on the globe:) Interesting concept, but probably of limited use. |

I want one. I would have no problem jumping out of a perfectly good airplane with my own airplane. Oh, and I want the one with the turbojet. Rocketeer=reality. |

Interesting concept, but probably of limited use. Huh? It allows high-speed insertions from undetectable distances, especially if the turbojet can be attached. That sounds extremely useful to me. I wonder, if they attach a reverse thruster, could a soldier potentially fly in at speed and land on a dime, rather than have to do even a limited jump? Hmm
wonder what stall speed is

" The implications for resupply in difficult terrain via remote is huge. |

Passed around at work. Potential greatest for spec ops insertion IMO. Talk about issues with a Battalion of people coming in without some separation
more KIA in landing then action possible. Not to mention issues with VOs (oops, vertical obstructions) plus telephone lines in more urban settings. Gracias, Glenn |

CmdrKiley, that gadget was mail-order only so your brother's collection may have been pretty impressive. |

No, they had that suit with flaps between their arms and sides. Like a flying squirrel. link This thing is like a backpack. |
