Did the drummers still wear the reversed color uniform during this period? For example the regiments facing color is green so would the drummers uniform consist of a green coat with red facings, opposite of the the line regiments uniform scheme or red coat with green facings. |

No. Reversed colors were officially abolished in 1812, IIRC. |

Thanks. That's what I thought but it didn't occur to me till after I finished painting the drummer. I was hoping that they convention was still in use. |

N0, reversed colors weren't abolished until much later. I think the 1850s? 1840s? Shoot, if I was at home, with my library, I could easily look this up. |
