Did the drummers still wear the reversed color uniform during this period?
For example the regiments facing color is green so would the drummers uniform consist of a green coat with red facings, opposite of the the line regiments uniform scheme or red coat with green facings.

No. Reversed colors were officially abolished in 1812, IIRC.

Thanks. That's what I thought but it didn't occur to me till after I finished painting the drummer. I was hoping that they convention was still in use.

N0, reversed colors weren't abolished until much later. I think the 1850s? 1840s? Shoot, if I was at home, with my library, I could easily look this up.

Piper909, if you could that would be great. I can't seem to find any source in my books which tell me.
