Will we ever see Starship Trooper figures again? Will anyone pick them up. Could someone pick them up and call them something different? I had only just started buying the figures when they disappeared. Tony occultwars.com |

I see them all the time. If you want MI cap troopers or warrior bugs let me know. |

Tony, seems to be a fair amount still available on ebay (UK). |

For the existing figures e-bay is your best bet, lots of them around. Whther some one picks up for re-releases or new figures???? |

As others have said, plenty of ways to get them second hand. As for for them entering production again, that's almost definitely not going to happen- I'm not holding my breath on the new pre-paints every showing up either. -Will |

The impression one of the Mongoose employees left me with at Cold Wars was
no. Of course thats not official by any means, but it sure seems like Mongoose is getting out of the minis business to me. |

1st Corps do a good range of Light infantry types (from the film). 1stcorps.co.uk/SciFi.htm True 25mm so completely incompatible with Mongoose but they'll just make the bugs look bigger. |

Mongoose says "yes" when they are ready
. The magic 8 ball say "What are you high". |

Highly doubt it. Best bet is to snatch up what you can. Also start looking at suitable proxies from other manufacturers (MI won't be that hard, bugs will cerainly be tougher). There is a remote possibility that someone else could pick up the molds, but they'd need licensing agreements with Sony, which will make things all the more difficult. Also the quality of the metal castings makes me doubt the molds will be in very good condition. |

According to their anmouncements blog, Mongoose is getting out of the miniatures business for now due to unsustainably high costs and hopes to perhaps return to making minis in 2009. Read the February 8th entry in the link below for more info and explanation. link |

The above date for the blog post should read "February 12th 2008". |

Mongoose told me and everyone here that Mighty Armies was alive and well and new lines were being planned as we speak. Then they sold the line to Rebel Minis. |

B5 and SST are both lines based on licensed IP and I seriously doubt they CAN sell the molds and production rights to another party without the permission of the people who actually own those IP's. |

It's a shame Mongoose never went straight to pre-painted SST rather than the Battlefield Evolution Moderns. Others may disagree but I felt there must be a far larger market out there for pre-painted Sci Fi than 'Moderns'. Especially where you could expand the pre-paints with a whole range of Sci Fi kits.
