Can anyone shed any light on or point to a good source for information on the Bavarian artillery supporting the auxil. units with the Austrian army. I know that uniform was grey with blue turnbacks/cuffs but light grey or dark grey?, light blue or dark blue?
Also what was the colour scheme for the guns. Are the calibres and types known?

The guns were painted in bright blue. This would be confirmed in a manuscript paper kept in the munich university of which I read some extracts some years ago. It refered to the replacement of battalion guns for the Salzburg regiment with new guns from the Munich arsenal. The source doc states the bright blue of the Bavarian pieces had to be over painted with scarlet red.
It was 4lb pieces. To my recalling, Bavaria had only battalion guns with its contingent, at least with the early campaigns. From 1759 on, possibly few heavy guns. Gun crew personnel was augmented from a 150 to 240 men that year.
