Hi Interested in views/comments on the Navigator25/28mm successor troops. Are they largish? I'm particularly interested in using them as Commagene allies for EIR in DBMM. ANy one have any info or links on Commagene uniforms etc> cheers |

Hi – I do have a few Navigator figs in that period, including the Navigator Seleucid cataphract. The rider is a nicely-sculpted figure, in size comparable to Newline and Essex (bigger than OG Seleucid cataphracts). He is only half-armoured though (bare legs). Of the two horse poses available, the walking cataphract horse is quite small compared to the other makes mentioned – won't mix very well at all. The galloping cataphract horse is a little larger (thanks to the pose). Not sure if you can access this link, but I posted a few photos on the WABlist: link Hope this helps some. Cheers Paul. |

I have some of the foot troops. The Figs are on the smaller side but are very nice. I dont think they would mix welll with foundry but im sure others wud disagree. |

"I'm particularly interested in using them as Commagene allies for EIR in DBMM." Personally I've never entirely believed in the existance of Commagene EIR pikemen; they crop up ever so long after everyone else around the Med had given up on pikes. Simon |

Later Commagene art shows trousers and a fairly Parthian look. Parthian, Armenian and Palmyran stuff is probably your best bet for much of the army such as the foot and horse archers. For pike, you could either assume that they follow the Hellenistic look and use normal Hellenistic pike (without trousers) or get some of the trouser wearers which are variously sold as Seleucid or Pantodapoi pike. For the cataphracts Seleucid or Parthian should do. |

There isn't much to see! Virtually everything I know of is from Nemrut Dag – worth a look for some online images if you haven't already seen it. |
