Would anyone have some suggestions on what figures I could use to represent the soldiers of the Czechoslovakian Army at the time of Nazi Germany's occupation of that country in 1938? I do know that Anglian Miniatures has a headset in Czech helmets. Thank you. |

I'm going to produce them in 28 mm. Actually, I've got 4 greens sculpted. You can see them on my sites. Here's the link: link |

Emil, a BIG THANK YOU for your reply!! Even though there wasn't a formally declared war between the Czechs and the Nazis, I've always thought it would be an interesting table exercise to wargame a Czech army, as they had rather impressive weaponry (like the LT vz.35 and LT vz.38 tanks) and border fortifications. Emil, you're a true trailblazer with the commissioning of your 28mm Czechoslovak Army miniatures! Like the Polish Army in 1939, there was once a time when no one thought about wargaming with them, and now figures are available. Any timetable as to when you'll be offering them to the public? |

By the way, Army Group North has a 1/56 scale LT vz.38, better known as the PzKpfw 38(t). Anyone know about the availability of a similarly scaled LT vz. 35 [PzKpfw 35(t)]? |

I've thought about the CZ army for some time. I think that wargaming is all about "what if" and the possible war between Czechoslovakia and Germany is about that. The war was not declared, but in reality there were many fights between the Czech forces and "rebels" – freicorps. There was also attacks from the Hungarian side. One more thing Slovaks, wearing the same uniforms, were fighting as Geman allies in Russia. For the figures. They are ready for casting, so it all depend how fast they change them in pewter in Griffin. |

If you can't wait for the Czechoslavkians from Emil, you could always substitute Italian infantry from BAM. A few subtle differences in uniform, but good enough for gaming with. Army Group North site has a French R-35, which was also used by Romania ( link ) – is this the same tank? |

Just found the answer to my question: the French R35 was manufactured by Renault. The LT vz.35 / PzKpfw35(t) was designed by Skoda. |
