I want to do some Meso-American wars with Aztecs, etc. How do these figures match up with Essex 15mm? How are the sculpts? I'm not fond of the Essex Spaniards -- just looking for another manufacturer. Thanks.

Here's what you asked for! The pike and command in the tercio are Old Glory 15s and the arquebusiers on the sides are all Essex. The figs actually match up pretty good and the price on the Old Glory figs is a pretty good deal.

Impressive tercio. How many of those do you have?

Just one! Painting 128 figs was not that much fun, especially since there were no uniforms for the period I'm painting(1530-1560), so it took awhile to do. The Spanish army supposedly had three tercios of this size, but I would have to paint a ton of Swiss and French to offset a second one!
