I see they're fantasy "hollywood" cavegirls in bikinis or less. Dissapointing. Stone age humanity didn't adorn themselves with rags in strategic places – it wasn't about titilation. They covered up their bodies with animal skins to keep warm, to survive. It was a life or death thing. Hollywood bikini rags are ludicrous. Will there be any realistic figures done properly covered up as they actually would have been? |

I have to agree with Scutatus. There are loads of Hollywood cave men on offer, men with hugh muscles, bikini clad women. I'd like to see more minis of historical cave men. |

Hey, I like the fur bikinis from Hollywood. Can't say I ever got much of a thrill from semi- or un-clad miniatures. Its not historical. Gotcha. Still like the look better than a big pile of furs with a couple of eyes in the depths of a hood. |

Each to their own. But maybe not everyone wants Conan the Barbarian type nudity in their cavemen/women? Not of all of us are impressed with 1 million years BC type nonsense. Some of us want to be able to use their figures in front of the kids. Some of us want to retain some decorum. And such matters aside, some of us prefer accuracy over fantasy. I'm not saying you are wrong to get your kicks out of ogling naked women, but I wish the term "cave woman" wasn't used as the excuse so much. I do feel it's a shame "cavewoman" means bikinis and nudity to so many. It's a pity "Caveman" has come to mean a weightlifter in a loincloth. It's a tad sad and is a rather pathetic excuse to get people's kits off. I get that it's a commercial thing, that they sell, which is why for every incredibly rare historically accurate range we get countless nude and bikini clad posers. But I'm sure the historical versions would sell too. Personally, I'd rather have the real deal. |

"historical cavemen???" I was not aware that there were such things
Are you speaking about their lapels? Actually, to the holier-than-though types on the board, I would like to say that you have no basis for your preconcenptions about cavemen dress either. No basis whatsoever. You have no idea what they wore or if they did cover breasts or more. If you feel so strongly, why not just sculpt or commission your own and show us your conjectural representation of them. |

It is my learned and considered opinion that our cave-dwelling ancestors decorated themselves with vintage hubcaps, with a preference for '57 Buicks and Chevys. |
| Commodore Wells 1 | 24 Apr 2008 3:25 a.m. PST |
It is a little know fact that the wheel was invented as an easily transportable frame on which the stone age nobility could dispay their ceramonial hubcaps. |

Gents It has been shown time and time again that cave people prefered hubcaps of 56 Oldmobile Starfire's as shown in some of Dr. Mark Schutlz's earlier research papers. Scutatus I suggest the easiest way to get fully covered cave folk would be to add some furs with green stuff. SOme of Bronze Age mini's generics might be a good starting place for you. link Amalric |

I'm moderately surprised that someone should be calling for historical cavegirls. Real stone age people as a rule didn't live in caves. |
