These are billed as 25mm but are they large 25's (28mm) or so called regular 25mm. What other figures (metal or plastic) could they be mixed with in the same unit. Thanks.

They are 25mm toe to eye, so approx 27/28mm to the top of the head.

I had some of their cavalry, which mixed nicely with Foundry Perry.

There's are some great pics of this range, painted, inside the back cover of the latest "Ancient Warfare" mag.

Hi I have some 1st corps EIR western archers- they are quite small, I use them as Psiloi (DBMM) as they don't fit in at all with foundary/black tree/tin soldier.Perhaps the Marian range is larger?

cheers

Piggybacking on this post, how do 1st Corp Marian Romans match up to Old Glory Successors? I have a friend who is collecting an OG Successor army and I thought it would be cool to oppose him with Marian Romans.

The more appropriate army to battle your friends Successor army is what is called the Polybian army or the Punic War Romans. The Marians Romans are essentially the Romans of the civil wars (100 years or so later.) Unless you're counting Pontus as a Successor army that is.

I can only fall back on that great historical reason: they are pretty.

Having just received a few samples of 1st Corp Early Roman Republic let me reassure you that they are very pretty. But if you're looking for amazing looking Late Republican figures take a look at Companion Miniatures. They are some of the prettiest figures I've ever seen. A little on the larger side, they would, nevertheless, be wonderful to put on the table top.

Does anyone have any pictures of Companion figures? Their site seems to be down.

They aren nice minis, but no pics I'm afraid. A lot of their caesarians are extremely similar to the Foundry ones (sharing the same masters). I would presume their Polybians are in the same large 28mm size.
