It appears that Zvezda has put out new sets for HYW English and French troops. Both are foot troops only. The English set has longbowmen (looks like the arrow is on the correct side of the bow!) and halberdiers with one 1 knight on foot and some defensive stakes, while the French have crossbowmen (some with shields on their backs, in the act of loading) and about 4 fully armored foot knights with maces. I've ordered one of each, but from the pictures, the figures look more flat than previous Zvezda offereings. Will report more upon reciept. |

Really looking forward to these ,1/72 wargamers have waited a long time for a couple of sets of plain ol' infantry . I only hope the size is compatible enough with other 1/72 figures , some of the latest releases have been unusable next to other 1/72 stuff. You will probably get yours before i see any on this side of the pond ,any chance of a comparison to other 1/72 medievils when you get them ? cheers tom

If they're like the other Zvezda I have, then they'll be a little bigger than Revell and Italeri. I don't have any metal middys, but the Livonian Knights are larger than my SHQ Vietnam minis, but just slightly. I'll know more when they arrive here in Texas. |
