"21 Century 1/144 P-47s are in the Walmarts" Topic

Hey Guys -

I just happened to stop by my Walmart to see if anything was different in the 21C planes and LO and BEHOLD – I found three individually packed P-47Ds!!!! They look good and if I could figure out how to post the pictures here, I would…. The "D" model is called "Snortin' Bull". Sharp looking plane. Couldn't find any "B" models but they said a few weeks ago they would be released, too.

Check out your Walmarts. They should be coming in.

Drat. My three local superstores don't seem to be carrying much in the way of the 1/144th stuff. They seem to have given it up. The local Toys r Us had the combo of the SBD/Zero, but none of the other craft. Sob.

I was on a road trip over the weekend and went to a Walmart an hour away. Picked up 4 Thunderbolts, they came in 2 different paint jobs.

As I see planes in my Walmart (and the others I visit) I will post what is on here. If you need it – let me know and tell me what you have extra. We can trade planes. The shipping for all of us will be the same so it will be equal.

My Walmart has Brown Camo Spits in single packs, F6F & dark grn zero in a dogfight pack and I have 2 extra blue Dauntless/Zero in a df pack and 2 each blue&gray Dauntless in single packs.

I will let ya'll know when I find anything else in the TN & KY areas.

Mine are still loaded up with American Spitfires paired with a Me-262.
They must be selling, though, since they used to be buried in FW-190s and Zeros, and those are gone.

I just checked the Scranton Toys R Us today, and they are loaded with two different Dauntless/Zero packs.

TMP trades work with these planes. I have done a few trades in the past.

I am located in NW TN – Paris to be exact. It is 20 mins from Murray, KY, 2 hrs from Nashville, 2-1/2 hrs from Memphis, 1 hr from Paducah, 45 min from Clarksville and just 8 miles from Kentucky Lake…. God's Country for hunting & fishing (my 2nd and 3rd loves) – BUT it is a desert for wargamers (1st love).

I have to go to Nashville to get in a wargame. But I have NASHCON & HISTORICON on the calendar for this year – hoooo yah!!!!

They are still MIA at my local stores, sadly…..

I did manage to pick up a couple of nice A-10's though, made by Maisto. Not sure what scale they are, but would guess about 1/100th.

I'd like eight each of the two Thunderbolt models, if anyone runs across some extras they don't need.

My local Toys R Us has the Spits in desert camo, paired with the Dauntlesses, or Me-262's. One of the versions of the Spit is in American markings (paired with the Me-262, if I recall correctly), and the British markings one comes with the Dauntless model.

Still none in California, and they don't even appear to be getting set to sell them, based upon their planograms on the shelves….

Guess I just got lucky, guys. Will keep my eyes open for all that you have listed. Going back to my Wally World this afternoon.

Too bad 21C doesn't set up something where we could order what we wanted.

Just wanted you guys to know that the P-47B models are available at Walmart, too. I got a few a couple of days ago, so keep your eyes open. If I get any extra, I will put them on here.

Anyone seen any more P-51s, and Spitfires in green/gray and brown/green camo?
