We want to start small armies for late 15th century skirmishes (wotr, burgundians etc). Which is the best range to buy

Old Glory do a nice range for the period, but the pack sizes might be awkward for skirmish-type games.

Mirliton produce the old Copplestone Grenadier mediaevals; there are some lovely figures in there as well.

Front Rank and Perry Miniatures also have excellent ranges for the period, although I don't have any myself :(

There are others, but these will do as a start…

Cheers

Foundry also has a range which is compatible with Old Glory. They are both very nice.

The Perry range is even better (and a bit larger), but more for the early/mid 15th C.

I'm not so keen on the Front Rank range, very bulky models, and not compatible with any of the other ranges mentioned. Good detail though, its just the size I'm not happy with.

Parkfield has a small range of Burgundians and Swiss, 25mm figures so smaller than current '25mm' figures, but still alreasonable price

If its skirmishes you are going for go with Front Rank they have a lot of variety and character.

They look good. 40mm is a great size for skirmish.
