Well, I actually spent some time painting figures this weekend instead of sitting around THINKING about painting some miniatures! It's a MIRACLE! Mike at Rebel Minis (http://www.rebelminis.com) sent these 15mm US special forces guys to me a while back and I was immeciately taken by how crisp the sculpts were. The guns aren't very bulky but they're also not dangerously thin. The guys have a lot of load bearing gear, but they're not carrying rucks. It's a nice, clean look for some special operations guys who're down for an "in and out" op. The set also comes with a nice assortment of long and short range weapons and command figures. Twelve figs in all priced at $6.50usd. The figures are somewhat generic and they're workable for games representing anything from the 90s to the present. I found practically no flash or mould lines on the figs and the bases are a nice, uniform size and shape that makes gluing them to a larger base very easy. Here are some example pics: picture picture picture |

I did some of those for one of my customers a few weeks ago. picture I have to agree they are some very nice 15mm figures |

I also think they are pretty nice. However, is it just me who balks at the price tag? They are almost double the price of Old Glory 15mm historicals including their Nam and Modern ranges. I like em. But don't need em that badly. YMMV. Thanks, John |

Very nice, both of you
I have some their KSK troops, those look much more detailed. A. |

Those are nice, Mike! I thought about putting some color on the goggles, too, but my fingers told me NO. |

Nice paint work on these, guys. What did you use for the larger bases? Ambush- did you bother with any of the subtle camo on the uniforms? And if so how did you do it? Rod |

They really are nice figures, I'm the guy that AKA Mike painted them for. I had them done as part of the Red Ops 5 game but they will certainly see additional action in other games. Great job by the brush master! |

I didn't bother. I look at pictures of US troops taken from a distance and the camo tends to fade into a single color – that's kind of the effect I was hoping for. |

Thanks. I was getting that impression from photos I'd seen as well, but tried to replicate the camo in paint anyway. Didn't turn out so good. Rod |

THIS IS A LIE!!! No 15mm can be that detailed. Seriously, I had to look at the thread title again to make sure they were 15's
. when I first saw the photo, I thought I was looking at 28's. :) How do the other RebelMinis 15's stack up detail and sculpt-wise? Rassilon above mentioned that German spec ops troops were not as detailed? TheGhost |

The "Masked Gunmen" look very good. Those are the only other figures from them I've gotten so far. |

I sculpted the Spec-ops, La Swat, Riot police, Masked gunmen, Street punks, Hostages, Zombies and the Zombie hunters and were wolves they bought from Two Hour Wargames. All are comparable in size/ style. I don't own the others so I can't say how they compare. Rod |

Oh! I totally forgot the question about bases – I use US pennies to base my individual 15mm figures. Nice, uniform size and you can't beat the price! ;) |
