Five years ago, there was a company called Wargames Ruins that had a really nice resin pirate ship and Chinese junk (They even used to advertise here on TMP). I bought the pirate ship kit, put together and painted it, and liked it so much, I was going to buy 2 more and the Chinese junk too. And when I went to make my order, found that the owner had closed the doors the week before (ARRGH!).

Now, Wargames Ruins mainly did resin WWII ruined buildings (thus the name Wargames Ruins) and ended up selling the molds to the buildings, along with the ship molds to another company… who' name now escapes me.

Anyone remember what happened to molds?

The molds were bought by another company (whose name escapes me, but they're always at Historicon in the back corner). Turns out the way Wargames Ruins made the ships was very difficult and relatively costly and the new company was looking at ways to simplify the process. After a couple of years trying to "fix" everything, they decided it was just too much work and money, so they dropped the line.
