Naval architect, historian, and author David K Brown passed away yesterday. His numerous works on naval history have been among the favorites of many naval wargamers, myself included. His latest book, "Atlantic Escorts: Ships, Weapons & Tactics in World War II" arrived at my doorstep just last week.

Godspeed, David. You will be sorely missed.

Godpseed to a much loved friend. DK was the person who set me off on my career path many years ago. He will be sorely missed.

Very sad. I have a number of his books and will miss his articles in "Warship".
