Has anyone has purchased this figure, which is the French Guard w/ Rifle Marching with in the last month?

I received 6 and all 6 had bent / curled over bayonets. I reported this to K&C and they asked for me to take pictures and would replaced the damaged figure. Very good customer service.

But what strikes me as odd is that 6 out of the 6 I ordered all were this way and when straightening the bayonets, the paint flakes off, or worse, the bayonet breaks.

I had 6 out of 6 figures this way and yet I am told that I am the first to inform them of any problem with this latest batch of the figure.

So I ask that if you too received this figure and the bayonet was curled, I'm not talking a minor bend that you can fix and no one notices, but one that made the figure no longer worth the price you paid for it, to please contact K&C and send them a photo of the damaged figure. They are trying to look into the issue of the packaging which might have caused this.

Maybe not a lot of folks on here collect the Napoleonic range of K&C, but if you do and can show them your damaged figure, via a photo, they will replace it through whom ever you purchased it from.

Just thought those who do collect them would like to know.

I collect the WWII line. Bayonets and rifle grenades are notoriously fragile. Perhaps you should try Sierra Toy Soldiers or Minute Men Toy Soldiers. I've had good luck with both vendors. Jürgen

Jurgen,

Thanks for the reply. But my point is that you are buying a figure that costs in the range of 20 to 30 dollars and is marketed as collectible, and we both know the WW2 stuff is very collectible. You are okay with getting a damaged figure from the manufacturer? And I did buy the figures through one of the companies listed above. The boxes were never opened, I took off the wrapping so I know. Plus it is not the vendor who is at fault for a figure damaged at the manufacture.

I was just trying to let people know that even if you do purchase from a vendor, K&C will still make it right if the damage happened at the manufacturer. This is the first time that i have received a damaged figure. I have been collecting for years and none of my figures have broken.
