I was wondering if anyone uses the 1/32 scacle planes from 21st century toys. I remember going to toy fair about 6 years ago and seeing a prototype of a b-17 they where going to come out with but never did. We are looking at the larger scale to play outside with here on my farm. Peter |

Post pictures. Please. We were tearing up the local WalMarts and Toys R Us looking for the Old Crow P-51 in 1:144. I found one in 1:32, and had a brief "Wouldn't it be cool if
Naaah." moment. |

John. Peter Griffith here. I will check our walmarts for the crow and let you know if I find it. Several of us in our club where talking of buying two each of the 1/32 scale planes to play with. It would give us a plane plus a wingman to work with. I have a great hollow area in one of my back fields that makes a great place to play where you can move planes and use telescoping devices with them. Peter |

Thaks, Peter, but I already got one. It is the quest, and not the ending! |

Yesterday at my local Walmart I found 2 Spitfires and 4 Dauntless es which I picked up. These were in 1/144 among about 20 something Zeros |

Today, the Wilke Barre WalMart had 20 (!) US Spitfires paired with the ME-262. Pittston had 10 of the same. Idiotic pairings like this is the reason that they do not stock more. "We stock them, and no one buys them!" |

Sigh. I buy them. Anybody want to take a dozen Me-262s off my hands? And a dozen Zeros? |

I would have bought them too, except that I'm broke. With Cy6, I only need one Me-262, and I have it. If I ever need more, my friends have them covered. I also have all the Zeros I will ever need. What about the P-47s that are supposed to be coming out? And, will these get paired with a 262 also? Well, getting them on my weekly dogfood and dishwasher soap run is still better than ordering from Japan. |

Yes, of course the P-47 will be paired with an Me-262. And a different paint version will be paired with an FW-190. And another (Mexican AF paint scheme?) will be paired with a Hayate. And another with a Zero. Then 21st Century will bring out another Axis fighter, maybe an Me-109G. And they'll pair it in turn with every Allied fighter they've made a mold for. And so on
I've paid $12 USD each for Wings of War biplanes, so paying $8 USD for a pair of the 21st Century toys isn't so bad. But what will I do with all these Me-262s? |

I picked up a couple of the P-47Ds the other day they were packed individually. One "Razorback" in green with invasion stripes. The other paint scheme was "Bubbletop" in silver with mini invasion stripes on the lower rear body only. |

Ah, so then they are out. Pair them with a Finnish Fokker DXXI. That would be awesome, dude. |

Nah, they won't bring out the 109G anytime soon, since that would be too sensible, and they would sell tons of them, in endless marking schemes. Fingers not following directions properly this morning
.. If they do, no doubt it will be paired with some obscure, virtually unusable plane people have never heard of, e.g. inter-war years, domestically produced, Lithuanian observation plane in Swiss markings anyone(?).
Ah, so the P-47's are out. Haven't seen any yet myself, and the local stores don't appear to be set to carry them. Where did you manage to find them? |

(non-Super) Wal-Mart in Minnesota |

Sadly, none at my local one today, although I did manage to bag a few 1/48th P-51's. |

Nah, they won't bring out the 109G anytime soon, since that would be too sensible, and they would sell tons of them, in endless marking schemes. Heh, heh. Quite agree. Now, really. When you hear the phrase "World War 2 dogfight", what pops in your mind first? Spits and 109s. |

P-51 B or C in 1:48? Still surprised there's no D yet

John, Spits and 109s one side of the world, Wildcats and Zeros, the other side of the world. Both, when exploiting their respective strengths, were worthy adversaries. |
