I've played one game with SW mini's and I'm hooked. I've bought boosters, a starter set, Big boosters, and ebay singles. It's a lot of fun opening boosters. I got a big rush yesterday when I got 2 figures in one box that I was looking for on ebay. I will be collecting them for playing other rules than the official game, like SST, Stargrunt, FAD, or maybe 5150. Havn't really decided yet. I might try them all to get the best "flavor" for the mini's. Actually I'm collecting them for more than Star Wars Gaming. I have a good force of Starship Troopers, Bugs, I have GW Imp Guard. So this is a great source for more figures/factions/armies, CHEAP! I should have started collecting them a long time ago. Cheers, Xin |

Glad you're having fun, but beware getting too carried away – speaking from experience, I went cold turkey about a year ago on ALL CMGs as I was just sinking way too much cash on them to be realistic. Apart from the occasionaly pang of desire when I see an ad somewhere I haven't looked back. |

I'm hooked on the Star Wars figures as well. I started out small but I've built up a large collection over the past few months. In fact, I finally broke down today and bought the AT-AT. I like the official rules just fine; I think they are simple, quick and fun. I dislike the collectible aspect, though. There are several rare figures that I'd like to have, but I refuse to pay $50 USD for Boba Fett or a Rancor. |

There's a reason why my friends and I refer to this as "plastic crack". :) |

I understand the "itch". I try to contain it by only buying on sale/discount |

yup I too am hooked on those star wars figures. I got lucky on ebay with a seller who didn't sell his stuff, one email later and I bought pretty much everything he had. I think all in I got 200+ figures for £96.00 GBP inc postage. Mainly stormtroopers and rebs, plus droids and clone warriors. That and my good friend Dances With Words sent me all the star wars stuff he'd got over the years in a trade off – including the old WEG 25mm. Thus, certainly in 25mm (WEG) I have all the figures I need. With the WOTC I'm not fussed about 'rares' and characters, I just buy troops or generic figures I can use in SW and elsewhere. |

never really been a big fan of cmg's since i lost interest in Heroclix, but the figures are so useful for other things
i hate painting so apart from the occasional touch-up they are ideal for my purposes. |

Wait til the new 54mm Warzone CMG comes out from FFG. Then you'll be in hook, line and sinker. |

I love the SW CCG also I have spent $10 USD for a fig or two but I try to keep it to around $1 USD a fig. I love the first 3 movies, so I have tons of Stromtroopers, and rebels. I have most of the figures I want, except Boba Fett.

Whats the matter Doug? Is the $25-30 price that Boba commands stopping you? :) :) :) Thats a very reasonable price for one plastic figure. :) Y'all need to build up terrain! I love my Tatooine terrain ('cept it does take up a lot of space compared to 2D maps)
