I co-wrote an historical mini-campaign for Un Pour Tous! ( LotOW 17th century variant) in the new issue of Vae Victis Thématiques Armées Miniatures #1

I would like to show a couple of pictures the articles as they are really nice. The minis (mainly Brigade Games swashbucklers and pirates)and buildings (Pardulon) are mine, but the photograph really shot great photos. And there are a lot of more in the article.

I'm very happy with the look of the streets and alleys . In these times, Paris was a large and smelly dump. The old
roman sewers only covered a small part of the city (southern bank). So the paved and cobblestone streets and alleys were covered by mud (not to say worse…)

I was inpired by these photos taken in the city of Bourges (center of France, in the region of Berry) during the filming of a new version of the 3 musketeers for a french TV channel (a real piece of Bleeped text) some years ago.

I really liked this kind of muddy ground so that's what I tried to do with my streets ( pieces of cobblestone and a mix of sand, plaster and pva glue. )

Congrats on the article, Olivier. And VERY nice work on the terrain!

Wonderful photos of excellent looking terrain. I think you've captured exactly what you were looking for in the screenshots from the motion picture.

My nose wrinkles as I can almost imagine the smell of those muddy streets.
