I'm perambulatin' through the Easter Clearance aisle at Wal-Mart this afternoon, right? Fifty percent off. Things like that set off my Bitz Radar. And there before me, dollar a pack, clearancing at half that, are blisters containing four brightly colored little motorcycles. FLASHBACK: about a year ago, I had reason to want to build a cycle gang -- somewhere between Hell's Angels and Mad Max. I have figures, plenty, and I'm not afraid to mod them
but what I didn't have was cycles. After quite a bit of hunting I found ONE, repeat ONE cycle for sale from Matchbox as part of a set of five, at five bucks a set. Five clams for one toy cycle was just more than I wanted to spend. I have plenty of old Ghost Rider HeroClix, but his cycle's a wildly custom job, and a whole gang of scavvies riding that thing would have been a dead giveaway. I quickly bought all five remaining blisters. Twenty cycles. $2.50. They'll need modding, of course, but at that price, I can chop happily and freely. Bwahahaha! |

I have no idea why little motorcycles are considered Easter toys, btw. And on the back, it says: mini choppers/helicopteros miniatura MADE IN CHINA walmart.com Hm. I think we have a translation problem, here

If you need bikers and bikes go to Warweb.com and look under westwind for a game called roadkill. I have soe of them and they are great. They even come with extra heads and weapon arms. |

My friendly local model Railroad shop has "quality collectible" Harley Davidsons in a nice presentation pack. 4 for $20, but they are beautiful. I didn't have my usual mini in my pocket for the "eyeball scale test", but they looked OK for 25/28mm to me. |

Anyone see any 28mm bicycles for a decent price? The last ones I looked at were $10 USD for 2 in 'O' gauge for model railroading. TG |

Oh, I've seen biker figures. Including some pretty nice ones. But I'm a kitbash fiend, a born figure mutilator, and
twenty bikes for half a fin? Couldn't pass THAT up. I don't think I've EVER seen bicycles in 28mm. |

I immediately went to walmart tonight to find these. I picked up 10 packs at a quarter each. Only 2 bikes per pack will work for 25mm, though, The other 2 are more 20mm. Thanks for the tip! John |

I got bicycles about 3 or 4 years ago, as part of KMart's Christmas Village stuff. There was a pack of bikes, with the "adult" ones bein around 54mm or 40mm scale, and the "children's bikes" being great for 28mm adults. Foundry also has some figures riding bicycles, including a matron in the Dad's Army range, and some soldiers riding them. I forget it I got them from the Great War range, or the Dad's Army range. Probably the WW2 range, as the kit is not exactly right for 1920 RIC. |

I checked. My Roadkill 25mm bikers 'DO' fit on two of the Walmart bikes. Now I need to figure out what figs to use for the riders. Any ideas? Thanks, John |

Actually, I'd planned on modding the smaller cycles into choppers. |
