Gentlemen; My name is Michael, my mates call me Mick ( among other things) I once war gamed with 54mm Trophy colonial period soldiers. I have close to three hundred. I live on my hill station in the central highlands of Arizona. My army has been in winter quarters since late 1999. That is until I got the strong urge to take the field against Queen Victoria's enemy's, primairly Fuzzy Wuzzy, and the various war like tribes of the North-West Frontier. I have just placed a sizable order for Fuzzy, and the lads from Chicago Toy Co. I will be doing some painting shortly. Since I am alone, I will have to try solo wargaming. My question to you gentlemen is, what would be a good solo rule that I could also do campaigns? It has been suggested that I try Piquet ( Din of Battle), and TSATF. Your comments would be greatly appreciated. Now, the Guinness is on me. Thanks. I'll hang around the piquet lines to see what happens. The Irish Mick on 'is hill station Arizona Territory |

My advice is to take a deck of cards and assign various events and changes to your orders or the enemys. Roll a D6 and on a 6 pull out a card and see what happens. |

Mick, You might want to look into Two Hour Wargames. From what I know of them they meet your requirements. link Larry |

Subscribe to Magweb--it's an incredible bargain in any case; more specifically for you one of its many magazines is The Lone Wargamer, with scads of articles on solo wargaming, especially with a colonial theme. |
