Does anybody know what the Brigade strengths for each side at this battle ?

There are plenty of OOB's for the battle but none showing Brigade strengths

Have you checked Some of the books about the period? I think Bowden has Battalion strengths.

Ask a librarian, you might make their day

Exact strength probably difficult to know for sure. Look at some 1813 books -- Nafziger, Digby Smith, etc. Find an OOB that predates the battles and fudge the numbers for sick, deserters, etc.

Probably some -- or many -- on line. Look at Sam Mustafa's GRAND ARMEE site: Lots of OOBs on there (the game is brigade strength).

MaxxVane,
I'd be very interested in knowing if you find anything on the 'net: I'm about ready to start building armies for this battle using Age of Eagles rules and (maybe) 6mm figs.
I'm pretty sure Rafa Pardo has gamed Dennewitz, but his gaming site is down at the moment (use the link here to go to his "My Wargaming Website"); link
Keep us posted!
Thanks,
Bob

Rafa did put together a Dennewitz scenario in a PDF file here: link To arrive at brigade strengths, I guess you'll need to know how to read "Napoleon's Battles" scenario jargon.

Nafziger's Napoleon At Dresden lists strengths for the outset of the campaign, has a table of casualties for Gross Beeren and lists losses in the text for some of the smaller skirmishes. From this it should be possible to reach an estimate of strengths for Dennewitz.

First Empire magazine had an article on the battle I will dig the relevant issue out to see if it listed strengths (normally do) and get back to you with the issue number. Individual issues can be purchased in PDF.

It was issue 56 but no strengths listed only number of battalions/squadrons.
