Well, it is pretty premature -- they haven't even designed the figures yet, they're still in the negotiations stage. And if their statement is accurate ($100+, target consumer is 30+ aged gamers and collectors), I sure won't be in there. With the economy the way it is, I'm amazed to see them suggesting such a thing -- I'd think it'd be much more accessible in boosters. But WizKids' greatest successes (aside from Mage Knight) have been with licensed products with proven geek appeal

Where did you get the $100. USD The only comment that I saw bout $100 USD is concerning a large size limited edition collectible on eBay. Typical WizKids products usually retail around $2.00 USD a figure. |

To quote the slide: link "Current target is high-end ($100) boxed SKU containing 20 ships and all game elements" followed up by "Smaller collectible SKUs possible if license demands" It would have to be a really good set to plunk down $100 USD in one shot. $5 USD a ship not a bad price, just a high price of entry to go all at once. |

Wow, this is one selection that most people will be after, if they mess up the rules, at least we have the ships now.. |

Yeah. It sounds very appealing, but dropping $100 USD in one shot? Man, do I really need the whole Federation fleet, Klingon, Romulan,
even Gorn? |

I hope that they are going to do something reasonable with the license and not screw it up like they have with some of the other ones that they have gotten their mitts on. I think that what you will find is that all parties want to get this into as wide as a market as possible and that means Walmart and other stores like that. I do not see a $100 USD starter thing flying there. I think that if this goes forward you will see something like before. |

Are they just doing the ships or are they also supposed to do the figures? I would love to have some 25-28mm figures of the crew. |

I'm not going to get excited, I'm not going to get excited, I'm not going to get excited
.it's WIZKIDS
Remember Halo, Remember Creepy Freaks
remember Mage Knight 2.0
remember
I forgot
. If they do 28mm character figures too, great
but after seeing what Wizards did with star wars ships
(the 'bendies'
) which often required the 'hot water treatment' for correcting 'straight lines'
I'd DREAD seeing what 'clixies' would do to nacelles and support pylons!!! (and primary hulls???) But then again
.as far as a boxed set for around $100.00 USD you can spend that for a boxed set of SFB ships in metal
and possibly more/less detail??? I say
let's see what ACTUALLY happens
I'm STILL waiting for the rest of the HALO actionclix |

"But then again

and possibly more/less detail???" Well, yeah, but you'll get around 10 ships. And have to assemble and paint them. I'm more worried about quality, since the price is too low for that many ships. Still, if they do a nice Crimson-Skies-style job on the minis, it might work. "I say
let's see what ACTUALLY happens
I'm STILL waiting for the rest of the HALO actionclix" Well
the only HaloClix on that presentation is the Banshee: no other releases planned, apparently. At least, at the time the powerpoint was put together. If it's the real deal. And a new Brand Manager doesn't change the lineup. And
