Anime Boston is coming up March 21-23:
animeboston.com

I'll be running a bunch of Monster Island games "Die Kaiju: Die Boston!" with 4" tall kaiju on an 8' x 8' model of Greater Boston. Madly working on painting the terrain boards and building travel crates for the table sections now. Won't be able to take pictures with all the buildings set up until the con, but here are some teasers of the work in progress:

Boston Harbour and South Shore, detail painting done:

Boston City and Northwest, block painting done, still needs detail work. Anime Boston will be taking place at the Hynes Convention Center which is the small gray building at the bottom right of the Pru:

The North Shore and Southeast sections still need to be painted.

Godzilla 1954 comes to town:

Godzilla 1999, same town, different rubber suit:

Look forward to seeing this when it's all complete.

Very ambitious table, nice! I like the "city by the sea" aspect Boston. Sky scrapers, a port city and Kaiju always makes for chaos on a game table.

I've been thinking about building Milwaukee for a long time. Lake Michagan isn't an ocean, but it is still a massive body of water.

Keep us posted with pics.

If you are going to do a Great Lakes city it HAS to be Sheboygan. Trust me it just does.

Nifty. Look forward to seeing the event photos.

What, NYC isn't "city by the sea" enough for you? Okay, fine most of it is pretty well entrenched in a river, but it's extremely close to open water, oh, and the 5 boroughs are all seperated by water.

Oh, and NYC has a much better MLB baseball team than Boston :P

The only giant monster that would think about stomping on New York isn't even a real Godzilla, just some tuna-head reject from a Jurassic Park sequel :P :P :P

We managed to get all of the block painting done on the terrain at least. Still needs some detail touch-up. Now that the painting's done, the next step will be to build models of the bridges ^-^
