These guys seem like a quality service. Has anyone had any personal experience with their services and what is your impressions?

Great service. Fantastic hand-painted flags. Not cheap, but the painting is great and the turn-around time is fantastic.

Terrible, sloppy, inaccurate paint job, and they have a condescending and arrogant attitude to their suckers, I mean, customers. Quick turn around time, yes, and it shows! I had Change of Command paint my Waffen-SS troopers, and the figures came back in the most garish colors I have ever seen: I have never seen Day-glo green colors used by the SS in all my reference books on camo colors! The other figures had paint bleed, color overlap, etc. From the same commission batch I paid them to paint up some German generals, and they not only did not paint details on the figures (rank, trouser stripes, buttons, ribbons, etc.) they even used a shade of "Field Grey" that I had never seen before. How do you screw up Field Gray? Change of Command found a way! All the figures they painted for me were not good enough for storage let alone be seen in public. They did not paint the medical identification apron on my metal Warlord Games Waffen -SS medic. When I pointed this out to them, they told me that after 1942 medics in the Waffen-SS did not identify their medics with red crosses. Maybe so, but the medic apron that displayed the Red Cross was sculpted onto the figure! Theses guys' work on my figures looked like it was done by color-blind five-year olds, and it took me months just to strip the figures of their terrible paint jobs. If you like a sloppy, rushed, inaccurate paint job for your figures, then go with these clowns. I paid dearly for their mistakes, so I am warning everybody else: do NOT use these bozos to paint your figures. You have been warned.

Curiously enough, many, many years ago an Asian outfit painted my 25mm SS in day-glo colours. I am talking Fruit Salad overdrive. I am talking Village People Meet Da SS.

At first, I was disappointed because they were literally the gayest paint job I'd ever seen (Not that there's anything wrong with that). However, the amount of belly shaking mirth my wargaming group derived from the endless jokes stemming from their highly visible and fabulous uniforms on the table-top more than made up for the inaccuracies.

Having said that, I feel your pain because I am frequently upset by painters.

Might we see these figures of yours?

I have saved two pictures of the atrocities on my phone, so I could text them to you. I have texted them to other professional painters for a look see and they were appalled at what Change of Command did to the figures. I will text them to you if you wish, and I hope you have a strong stomach.

Well, there's no need to go to those extremes. I thought maybe you could post them so we could all see how mis-painted they are.

First let me say I have known the painter since 1975. I had a lot of 40mm figures painted by them in early 2018 and had no issues with their painting including a unit if AWI Highlanders. I will post some pictures here of their quality work.

I have been working with CoC for a few years. Known the painter since about the same time as Chris. I have always admired Pete's painting. I learned a lot from the shop in Bath. Now my painting needs exceed my time available. I have projects to finish, hopefully before I die. CoC has been very helpful and I have always been very happy with my results. I did a bit of painting for hire in the 70s. I like the painting style and it gets done in a timely fashion. I flash and file the figures myself. I quite often just tell CoC to indulge their own sense of creativity when it comes to horses and general officers, for my SYW and ACW figs, and I've never been disappointed. They have earned my business by the quality of their product. I got no problems, just praise. Norris H.
