I stopped in today at my local Super Store and found two items for sale:

Heroscape: Battle for all Time, Set #1 (The Good Set, not the Marro thingie) for $25…eh, price is decent/good, not quite great, if you already own it, but damn good if you're just starting out.

PotC: Black Pearl Ship…$20 (half price). IMHO this is a Great Deal, considering I bought all those $1 USD bag Pirates at Tar-ghez (Target) a few weeks back (and I have more coming from another location).

What say youse guise?

Also…anyone know of any good deals in their area? If so, please chime in.

Supposedly, Hasbro is moving the whole Heroscape thing to the Wizards of the Coast line, and it is to be carried at game stores in the future. I don't know if this is the case, but Wal-Mart has them on clearance, just as Andrew mentioned.

LOL! I bought some bags of those $1 USD pirates as well. What do I do with them?

Heroscape is mving over to Wizards of the Coast. They have a press release on the Heroscape website. They are going to continue to be sold in Toys R Us, Wal-Mart, Target, etc. but also in game and hobby stores. Probably not the big starter sets though.

Which size Pirate ship is this? I picked up some of the 10 inch or so ones from toys R Us for 10 dollars each.

Thanks,

John

The big box stores will continue to carry the HS master set, what they are going to replace ROTV with has not yet been announced. Currently Swarm of the Marro is the only master set they intend to produce, which is a shame.

If you have any interest in HS at all(it's a much better game than you might think) pick up a couple copies of ROTV while it is cheap.
Wizards of the Coast rep stated on heroscapers.com that "they had no plans to continue ROTV at the present time".

John…it's in my car trunk, give me some time, but I will look.

From the display though it looks like it will hold "several" 10-28MM plastic Pirates…several as in like 20'ish or more.

Correction: 20 to 28MM Plastic figs.

…and if you keep those oversized popguns off the main deck, that will give you even more room too!
